What is Botox/Dysport? A non surgical temporary treatment to treat fine lines and wrinkles by reducing muscle activity in the targeted area. Botox has been around the longest but Dysport works the same way but the onset is quicker and it has been shown to last longer in some individuals. Are Botox/Dysport treatments safe? Because the toxin is injected in such small amounts, the safety profile for this medication is high and side effects are minimal. There may be a slight sting at the injection site in about half of the people undergoing the procedure. There may be a mild bruise at the injection site but this is uncommon.
